THE SUMMER OF 2009

During the summer of 2009, Lake Como was booming with tourism, hot weather, and plenty of sunshine. Who could have felt any signs of a global recession with so many happy tourists smiling their way through afternoon siestas, wine-tasting and refreshing gelatos?

September is a great month to visit Lake Como. The heat of the July and August months begins to cool down and so do the crowds! But everything is still open and there are still great outdoor shopping and entertainment experiences on the weekends.
