Cernobbio...
An Internationally-Renowned, Exclusive Resort Town

For those that find Como too bustling but still want to take part in important business conventions and exhibitions Cernobbio offers a feeling of exclusivity and peace only minutes away.

Villa D'Este has already guested the famous and wealthy since the late 19th century. Today at rates averaging 1000 euros a night, it is still an exclusive and premium resort offering its visitors internationally-renowned luxury and beautiful surroundings.

But Cernobbio also has the Villa Erba in which international congress and business meetings take place regularly. And then there's the Villa Bernasconi.

Every town in Lake Como has a certain vibe, and Cernobbio's has the vibe of a peaceful, yet cosmopolitan community focused on planning important exhibitions with attention to every detail, clean parks, and spacious accomodations for its elite visitors.

What To Do

Cernobbio is actually quite spacious as there is more 'flat' land separating the lake from the mountains. It has one of the largest piazzas found in any other town on the lake. Enjoy strolling by the lakeside promenade sheltered by many trees and blooming flowers...that is, if you are not one of the many businessmen/business-women involved in one of the local conventions and have time for it.

Die-hard hikers can take the long and scenic Via dei Monti Lariani trail rising to 1200 meters. Follow the signs posted by the Italian Alpine club. For an even more challenging hike, try heading towards Monte Bisbino (over 1300 meters) which passes by the "foxhole" cave, the Buco Della Volpe.
