I Promise I Will Write an Opera If I Could Only Find My Way To Your Heart

And you thought creative non-fiction was the only way to tell a story about Lake Como!
If I could only find my way to you (first by plane, then by car?), I promise I'll write an Aria about its beauty, allure and mystery.
However, before I can do this, I really need directions to find you. Can you please give me the best route from San Francisco? The suggestions from the web are contradictory, and driving with such uncertainty after a nine hour flight in a foreign land makes for a very short and predictable tragic aria. The Lady of the Lakes never finds her way as she takes the wrong freeway and winds up in Rome. Alas the warring feuds between cities....
Any suggestions would be most helpful. I have a business meeting and I cannot be late. And I'm too embarrassed to ask questions as everyone has their act together; but, this, too, can advance our theme and make for another stanza: Prideful Lady of the Lakes must endure consequences for yet another tragic flaw.
How do you say Help in italian?
Thank you in advance for your kindness. I'll include you in my aria, I promise. You will be the hero or heroine who restores hope to the human spirit!
kindest regards,
patricia
