Lenno...
A Sleepy Town with Perks

Lenno may not seem like the obvious place in which tourists would want to spend their Lake Como holiday, but rest assured that a visit into this charming town may yield very pleasant surprises.

Perhaps most famous for its hand-made olive oil which you are sometimes lucky to come accross at various Lake Como restaurants, Lenno offers more to its visitors than just a bottle of oil.

In fact, on Fridays and Saturdays, a local restaurant/bar called the Lido, turns into a hot nightclub, where people dance on the beach or on the covered dance floor while enjoying cheap drinks and an exciting atmosphere. FYI: The restaurant closes at 11pm but the beach bar closes at 4am!

What To Do

The most exciting attraction in Lenno, by far, is Villa Balbianello. Now a museum, its interiors exhibit details on the extraordinary lifestyle of one of Italy's richest men and last owners of the villa - Guido Monzoni.

You can also visit two interesting churches dating back from the 11th and 12th centuries - the Church of San Stefano and San Battistero and the Abbazia dell' Acquafredda.
